Shocking Brawl Erupts in Alley Next to Pattaya Police Station

Pattaya, Thailand – January 6th, 2026

A violent street fight broke out just after sunset meters from the Pattaya City Police Station, with participants showing no fear even as a uniformed officer stood nearby.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in an alley adjacent to the station, known as Pattaya Beach Soi 9.

Video footage captured by tourists and locals shows a group of Thai men and women, aged approximately 30-40, engaged in a fierce brawl. The fight split into two separate confrontations: one involving two men ganging up on a third, and another between two women trading blows.

Despite a uniformed police officer being present at the scene, the combatants continued punching and grappling intensely until bystanders finally intervened to separate them.

The location, a narrow alley near the beach road, is a common spot for street vendors.

When reporters visited the site shortly after, all involved parties had fled the area. No formal complaints have been filed with police, and the exact cause remains unconfirmed.

A local resident, referred to as “Boy” (pseudonym), aged 35, who filmed the incident, told reporters that the shirtless man seen in the video is a street vendor operating a grilled chicken cart in the alley.

According to the witness, a rival group arrived to “settle a dispute,” initially intending a one-on-one confrontation. However, the situation escalated into a group assault on the vendor. Even when police attempted to intervene, the fighters ignored them, continuing until locals stepped in.

Unconfirmed speculation from those at the scene points to a personal dispute possibly involving a “new wife versus ex-wife” rivalry, given that both men and women from the groups were actively fighting.

Authorities have not yet commented on the incident, and no arrests have been reported as of publication. The viral clip has sparked online discussion about public safety in Pattaya’s busy tourist areas.
