Pattaya, Thailand – December 30th, 2025
The atmosphere at Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya was buzzing with excitement from early morning on Tuesday, as throngs of Thai and international tourists poured in to catch ferries and speedboats to Koh Larn, the renowned natural paradise island just off the coast.
Families and groups of friends queued up throughout the day to purchase tickets, eager to escape to the island for relaxation, sea swimming, and end-of-year festivities ahead of the 2026 New Year. The surge has made Bali Hai Pier exceptionally lively, with authorities organizing boarding procedures systematically to ensure convenience and close monitoring of safety for all visitors.

According to the Pattaya Branch of the Marine Department, visitor numbers to Koh Larn have been steadily high since Saturday, December 27, averaging 15,000 to 16,000 tourists per day. Officials anticipate an even larger influx on December 31st, as many plan to join countdown celebrations and festivities on the island.

This holiday rush is expected to significantly boost the local economy, generating substantial revenue for businesses and operators in the area amid Pattaya’s ongoing New Year events.
