Sriracha, Chonburi Province– The Sriracha City Municipality successfully wrapped up its 24th Annual Painting Contest for the year 2025 with a closing ceremony and award presentation held at the municipal Health Park.
Ms. Karawan Temiyasorn, Deputy Mayor of Sriracha, presided over the event, delivering the closing remarks. She was joined by Mr. Praphat Charoensantisuk, another Deputy Mayor, along with municipal executives, department heads, staff, teachers, and numerous contest participants.Acting Lt. Thongnak Phuangnoi, Municipal Clerk, presented a summary report on the event’s outcomes. The contest saw strong participation, with a total of 2,332 entrants across various categories. This included 1,320 participants competing online and 1,012 attending onsite.
The breakdown by education level was as follows:
– Kindergarten: 205 participants
– Primary Years 1-3: 365 participants
– Primary Years 4-6: 468 participants
– Secondary Years 1-3: 480 participants
– Secondary Years 4-6 / Vocational Certificate: 388 participants
– Higher Vocational Diploma / University / General Public: 426 participantsFollowing the report, winners were announced, with a focus on the top prizes in the Higher Vocational Diploma, University, and General Public category.
The grand prize of 30,000 baht plus a certificate went to Mr. Natthaphong Ruekdee from Chonburi Province. The first runner-up award of 20,000 baht plus a certificate was presented to Assistant Professor Patiwet Saokong from Chiang Mai Province.Additionally, 45 second runner-up (consolation) prizes, each worth 5,000 baht, were distributed, totaling 207,500 baht, in prize money for this category alone.
The annual contest, a longstanding tradition organized by the Sriracha Municipality, continues to promote artistic talent among youth and the general public while encouraging creativity inspired by local themes.
