Banglamung, Chonburi – Authorities in the Nongprue subdistrict announced the successful arrest of a four-member drug trafficking gang on Friday, December 19th, 2025, following a sting operation that led to the seizure of more than 600 grams of crystal methamphetamine (known locally as “ice”), a firearm, ammunition, and two vehicles used in the crimes.
At a press conference held at 3:00 p.m., Pol. Col. Natthaphon Phongsukskul, Chief of the Nongprue Police Station, joined by deputies Pol. Lt. Col. Thana Wiseschai and Pol. Lt. Col. Suphat Sudsong, detailed the operation. The suspects were identified as:
– Mr. Phaibun (alias “Beer”), 41, from whom police seized 505.45 grams of crystal meth, a 9mm handgun with 12 rounds of ammunition, and a red Mazda sedan.
– Mr. Thanu (alias “Keng/Kings”), 40.
– Ms. Wasana (alias “New”), 42.
– Mr. Suphakrit (alias “Can”), 31.
The latter three were arrested with 113.33 grams of crystal meth and a white Mitsubishi Pajero SUV.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation launched on December 17th, when detectives detained small-time users and dealers in the area. Intelligence led to the discovery of a network transporting drugs from Nonthaburi province into the Banglamung district for distribution.
Officers arranged an undercover purchase and set up a delivery meet in Soi Ban Lang 15, Moo 7. Upon arrival, the white Pajero containing the three suspects was stopped and searched, revealing the hidden drugs. Interrogation led to the swift arrest of the fourth suspect, “Beer,” at a bar in Moo 2, Nongprue, where additional evidence was recovered.
All four suspects have been charged with drug trafficking offenses and transferred to Nongprue Police Station investigators for prosecution. Officials hailed the operation as a big blow to a key local network, helping curb the spread of narcotics in the community.
