Pattaya, Thailand– A white Toyota van driven by a Chinese national crashed into a residential wall and overturned late Thursday night in Pattaya’s Nongprue sub-district, causing the driver to flee the scene on foot before later being apprehended by police.
The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on December 18th, 2025, in Soi Khao Noi, in front of Mike Orchid Villa. Rescue teams from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation in Pattaya responded quickly after receiving reports of the accident.

At the scene, responders found the van lying on its side after slamming into a homeowner’s wall, causing significant damage to the property. Preliminary checks indicated no injuries to residents or bystanders.
Eyewitnesses told authorities that the male driver was traveling at high speed when he lost control, veering off the road and colliding with the wall. Following the crash, the driver exited the vehicle carrying some unknown items and fled into the nearby village.

Police later tracked down and detained the driver inside the residential community. He was taken to the local police station for alcohol testing and further legal proceedings. His name and age was not immediately released, only his nationality.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, including potential charges related to reckless driving and leaving the scene.
