Pattaya, Thailand – A pickup truck lost control on a sharp curve and plunged into a roadside forest, leaving the driver trapped inside the overturned vehicle. Rescue teams and good Samaritans successfully extracted the injured man, who sustained minor injuries and appeared intoxicated.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. on December 14th, 2025, on Chaiyapruek 2 Road near Wat Inthanaram (also known as Wat Chak Nok) in the Huay Yai sub-district.

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center in Pattaya received a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that had veered off the road, with the driver trapped inside. Volunteer rescuers were immediately dispatched to the scene.

At the site, located in a forested curve along the roadside, rescuers found a white Ford pickup truck overturned on its side deep in the vegetation. The vehicle had sustained significant damage after losing control and crashing off the roadway.

Rescue personnel, assisted by passersby, worked diligently to extricate the driver from the wreckage. The man, identified only as Mr. Don, approximately 50 years old, was eventually freed. He suffered minor injuries and exhibited signs consistent with alcohol intoxication.

An eyewitness, Mr. Wutthichai Wangruamklang, a 35-year-old security guard, provided an account of the events. He stated that he was driving home from work when he encountered the pickup truck swerving into his lane on the curve. The vehicle suddenly crossed over and plunged into the forest. Mr. Wutthichai managed to swerve and avoid a collision, then alerted rescue services.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, with preliminary indications pointing to possible impairment or loss of control on the hazardous curve.
