Foreign National Severely Injured in Late-Night Motorcycle Crash in Pattaya

Pattaya, Thailand – A foreign man narrowly escaped amputation after his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a parked pickup truck in Pattaya late Sunday night, local authorities reported.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:36 p.m. on December 14th, 2025, on Thepprasit Road near the entrance to Soi Thepprasit 6.

Police Lieutenant Mana Sak Phon Yiam, deputy investigator at Pattaya City Police Station, received the report and coordinated with rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thamma Sathan Foundation to rush to the scene.

At the site, rescuers found a bronze Nissan Navara pickup truck parked roadside with damage to its rear. Nearby, a heavily wrecked red Honda Click motorcycle lay overturned on the road.

The rider, identified as a Caucasian foreign male aged approximately 50-60 years (name and nationality not immediately known), suffered extensive abrasions across his body and a gruesome injury to his right leg. The limb was nearly severed. Rescue teams provided emergency first aid before urgently transporting him to a local hospital.

The force of the impact caused the motorcycle to skid further, colliding with another parked vehicle belonging to a local resident. That vehicle’s rider sustained minor arm abrasions but declined hospital treatment after on-site care.

No witnesses observed the moment of impact; locals only heard a loud crash before discovering the injured rider groaning in pain on the roadway and alerting emergency services.

Preliminary investigations suggest the rider lost control and struck the stationary pickup. Police plan to review nearby CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident.
