Pattaya Mayor Leads Inspection for New Street Art Project in Historic Naklua Community

Naklua, Pattaya – December 11th, 2025

Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngampichet, accompanied by deputy mayors, senior municipal officials, and relevant staff, conducted a field visit to Thai Sin Alley and Yok Krung Ya Alley in the historic Naklua area to plan the transformation of the lanes into a “Street Art Alley” through large-scale wall painting projects.

The initiative aims to inject colour and creativity into the old community while boosting tourism appeal.

During the visit, Mr. Mana Yapakom, President of the Pattaya Cultural Council, led a team of independent artists in identifying four primary locations for the initial murals. The artwork will be integrated with the 17th “Walk & Eat in Naklua” festival, which runs for six consecutive weekends – every Saturday and Sunday – from 20–21 December 2025 through 24–25 January 2026.

Officials expect the project to strengthen Naklua’s unique community identity, create new creative public spaces, and attract visitors to stroll along the alleys and admire the artwork.

Mayor Poramese stated that Pattaya City is committed to community-driven development and urged local residents to actively participate by setting up food and product stalls in front of their homes. Showcasing Naklua’s traditional delicacies and specialties will help generate extra income for households while creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
