Chonburi, Thailand – Khao Kheow Open Zoo is spreading Father’s Day joy by putting the spotlight on its newest stars: the irresistibly cute red panda couple “Hachi” and “Hana”.
At the heart of the zoo on Father’s Day is the zoo’s beloved red panda pair that has quickly captured the hearts of visitors. Four-year-old male Hachi and three-year-old female Hana are now on full display at the Wild Life Wonderland zone (pink zone), delighting guests with their fluffy reddish-brown coats, masked faces, bright innocent eyes and playful antics.

“These two red pandas have become instant crowd favourites thanks to their endearing appearance and lively behaviour,” Mr Narongwit said. “You can often spot them climbing trees, grooming each other, or simply lounging in the most photogenic poses.”
Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) are native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. Despite their name and bear-like facial markings, they are not closely related to giant pandas and belong to their own unique family. With their bushy ringed tails and raccoon-like features, the species is currently classified as Endangered due to habitat loss and other threats.
