Takhian Tia, Chonburi – December 4th, 2025 – Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality today organized a national ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (King Rama IX), which also marks Thailand’s National Day and Father’s Day.
The event took place at the Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality Child Development Center and combined formal royal tribute rites with community service activities.

Mr. Wichira Su-cho, Deputy Mayor of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality, presided over the opening ceremony. He was joined by Mr. Mitchai Prakobtham, Mayor of Takhian Tia; Mr. Narongrit Prasittinak, Municipal Clerk; deputy clerks, municipal executives, council members, department heads, municipal staff, subdistrict headmen (kamnan), village headmen, and community leaders.
The ceremony began at 08:30 with the lighting of candles and incense before the royal portraits. Participants then paid homage by presenting flower trays before the portrait of His Royal Majesty King Vajiralongkorn (King Rama X). The presiding official delivered a heartfelt speech expressing profound gratitude for the late King Bhumibol’s boundless royal grace and contributions to the nation.

At 09:00, children and attendees took part in the “Little Ones Grow Kitchen Gardens” activity and public-service tasks including rubbish collection, general cleaning, and grass trimming around commemorative trees planted in honor of the late king. All participants wore black shirts together with royal-volunteer hats and scarves bearing the “We Do Good with Our Hearts” insignia” as a symbol of loyalty and unity.

The municipality stated that the event aimed to honor the extraordinary legacy of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great while instilling in residents, especially the younger generation, a sense of civic responsibility and public service. Takian Tia Subdistrict Municipality reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the late king’s aspirations by promoting sustainable community development for generations to come.
