Pattaya, December 3rd, 2025 – The Banglamung District Red Cross Chapter, together with the Thai Red Cross Society, held a blood donation campaign yesterday at the Banglamung District Community Hall to mark the anniversary of the birth of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (King Rama IX), Thailand’s National Day, and Father’s Day.
The event was organized as a tribute to the late monarch and aimed at addressing the ongoing shortage of blood supplies in hospitals across the country. Medical facilities continue to face critical shortages for patients requiring blood transfusions, including accident victims, surgical patients, and those suffering from blood disorders. In some cases, the lack of available blood has tragically resulted in loss of life.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Banglamung Red Cross Chapter has worked closely with the Thai Red Cross Society for many years to regularly organize blood donation drives. These efforts support the National Blood Centre in maintaining adequate reserves to meet the needs of hospitals nationwide.

This campaign was held specifically to offer merit to His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on the occasion of his birthday anniversary and Father’s Day (5 December), while helping ensure that blood banks remain sufficiently stocked for emergency and ongoing medical treatment.

Officials expressed gratitude to all donors who participated, stating that every unit of blood donated can help save multiple lives. The Banglamung Red Cross Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such initiatives throughout the year to support the national blood supply.
