Pattaya, December 3rd, 2025 – Pattaya City officially closed its week-long flood relief campaign yesterday by handing over a total of 210,000 baht in cash and essential supplies collected from the generous people of Pattaya to aid victims of severe flooding in southern Thailand.
At 10:00 on 2 December 2025, Deputy Permanent Secretary Theerawat Jatupong, representing Mayor Poramese Ngampichet, presented the donations in Meeting Room 132 at Pattaya City Hall. The funds were received on behalf of the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Foundation by Sakchai Charoenyookongrod, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, in the presence of Thanawat Talathong (Acting Head of Social Welfare) and other officials.
The city, together with Sawang Boriboon Foundation, had set up three donation points from 25 November to 1 December 2025 at:
– Pattaya City Hall
– Wat Chaimongkol Royal Temple market area
– Sawang Boriboon Foundation headquarters
Throughout the week, residents, businesses, associations, and government offices contributed steadily in cash and in-kind items including clothing, dry food, drinking water, and hygiene kits. Supplies were delivered to the foundation in batches, with yesterday marking the final consolidated handover.
Mayor Poramese Ngampichet expressed deep gratitude to the people of Pattaya:
“We are truly touched by the overwhelming kindness shown over the past week. This 210,000 baht and the mountain of essential goods reflect the unbreakable spirit of unity and compassion that defines our community. Thais never abandon one another in times of hardship.”
The entire amount and all donated items will be transported immediately by the Sawang Boriboon Foundation to the hardest-hit provinces in southern Thailand, where flooding has displaced thousands of families.
Pattaya City reaffirmed its commitment to standing ready to assist fellow Thais whenever disaster strikes, adding that the success of this campaign is a powerful reminder that “together, we are stronger.”
