Chonburi, December 2nd 2025 – Demonstrating the enduring spirit of “Thais never abandon each other,” residents and officials of Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality in Chonburi province have rallied together to collect and send essential supplies to families devastated by severe flooding across southern Thailand.
Led by Mayor Mitchai Prakobtham, together with Deputy Mayors Wachira Su-choe and Khwanyuen Prakobtham, municipal councillors, disaster prevention and mitigation staff, and employees from every department worked tirelessly to gather critical items including dry food, drinking water, bottled beverages, survival kits, daily necessities, and animal feed. The goal: to ease the suffering of fellow citizens in the flood-ravaged south.
The donated goods were formally handed over at Banglamung District Office to District Chief Mr. Patcharaphat Srithanond, who received them alongside the Chief District Officer. The supplies will be swiftly distributed to the hardest-hit areas to ensure they reach those in urgent need.
During the handover ceremony, District Chief Patcharaphat expressed deep gratitude and praise for Takhian Tia’s initiative, stating:
“This heartfelt contribution is a powerful force that will give our southern brothers and sisters the strength to face this crisis. Though we live in different regions, our hearts are always connected. I commend every effort made here and assure everyone that all items will be delivered completely and as quickly as possible to those affected.”
The ongoing floods have caused widespread devastation across multiple southern provinces, destroying homes, property, and livelihoods. Yet, despite the great distance, the people of Thailand continue to show that compassion knows no boundaries.
Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipality extended its heartfelt encouragement and concern to all flood victims, pledging continued cooperation with government agencies to provide assistance. The municipality wished for a rapid return to normalcy in all affected areas and for the safety, strength, and resilience of everyone in the south as the nation stands together through this disaster.
The spirit of unity and generosity once again proves that, in times of hardship, Thais will always stand side by side.
