PATTAYA, Thailand – A spectacular new landmark soared into the Pattaya skyline this past weekend as “The View Pattaya,” a 100-metre-plus giant Ferris wheel, was officially inaugurated at Runway The Market on Pattaya Second Road.
The grand opening ceremony was presided over by Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong and attended by a host of dignitaries including Banglamung District Chief Patcharapat Sreethanyanon, Pattaya Deputy Mayor Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, Pattaya City Council President Banlue Kullavanich, and numerous local business leaders and former senior officials.

Before the ribbon-cutting, all guests observed a minute of silence in honour of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
Ms. Phairawan Suko-in (Khun Nan), Managing Director of The View Pattaya Co., Ltd., revealed that the project represents an investment of over 200 million baht aimed at elevating Pattaya’s status as a world-class tourism destination.
“This Ferris wheel is designed to become the new iconic landmark of Pattaya, comparable to the famous giant wheels found in major cities around the globe,” Ms. Phairawan said. “It will not only enhance the city’s image but also create jobs and generate substantial income for the local community.”

The project received strong support from its Belgian parent company Eyecatcher BV, Runway The Market led by Mr. Wicha Baophimpha, and numerous partners who helped turn the vision into reality.
Located within the bustling Runway The Market complex, The View Pattaya offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the city and coastline. Standard gondolas (6 persons) are priced at 280 baht for Thai nationals and 480 baht for foreigners. VIP gondolas (4 persons) with luxury seating and special glass floors are available at 600 baht per person.

The attraction operates daily from 4:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.
Hundreds of locals and tourists flocked to the site on opening day, eager to experience the city from a stunning new perspective and enjoy exclusive launch-day activities.
“The View Pattaya wants to bring smiles, happiness, and unforgettable memories to everyone who visits,” Ms. Phairawan concluded. “It is our special gift to the people of Pattaya and travellers from around the world.”

The giant wheel is now officially open to the public.
