Pattaya, November 29th, 2025 – The waters of Jomtien Beach came alive this weekend with the official opening of the “TECHNO 293 & TECHNO 293 PLUS ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS,” an exciting international windsurfing competition that drew hundreds of athletes, dignitaries, locals, and tourists.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Sakol Phonluk-in, Deputy Mayor of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization. Representing Pattaya City was Mr. Visit Sakh Wongworachat, Director of the Tourism Development Division, who attended on behalf of Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet.
Organized by the Windsurfing Association of Thailand together with the International Windsurfing Association (IWA), the Pattaya Windsurfing Club, and Pattaya City, the event combines three major competitions at the same venue:
– TECHNO 293 & TECHNO 293 PLUS Asian Championships
– Thailand Windsurfing
Championships 2026
– Pattaya International Windsurfing Championship 2026 (Round 1)
Hundreds of young athletes from across Asia and beyond showcased breathtaking speed and skill on the waves, creating a colorful and electrifying atmosphere along the Jomtien shoreline.
