Pattaya is set to close out 2025 with an action-packed December calendar full of cultural, musical, sporting, and festive events. From sacred religious ceremonies to international music festivals and adrenaline-fueled jet-ski races, the city is pulling out all the stops to end the year on a high note and welcome 2026 in style.
Here are the highlight events taking place throughout the month. These are only official city sponsored events, additional events like from the private sector and the SEA Asian Games are also taking place:
– 5–9 December: A solemn five-religion ceremony in honour of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX) will be held at the Sanctuary of Truth.
– 11–15 December: The internationally acclaimed Wonderfruit 2025 arts and music festival returns to The Fields at Siam Country Club, promising a week of world-class performances, wellness activities, and sustainable celebration.
– 12–13 December: Pattaya Beach will come alive with the sounds of the Pattaya International Jazz Festival 2025, featuring top jazz and adult contemporary artists under the stars and headlined by US R&B group All 4 One.
– 17–21 December: Thrilling high-speed action arrives with the WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2025 jet-ski championship at Jomtien Beach.
– 19 December: The city lights up for the Pattaya Festival 2025, with dazzling illuminations and decorations spreading festive cheer across town.
– 20 December: One of Thailand’s most eye-catching running events, the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2025, takes place in front of Central Pattaya shopping centre.
– 20 December 2025 – 25 January 2026: The ever-popular 17th Naklua Walk & Eat Festival offers endless street food delights along the historic Naklua route each weekend, from the old banyan tree to Long Bridge.
– 21 December: Families can enjoy the Christmas Creative Kids Contest 2025 at Central Marina Outlet, complete with holiday crafts, Santa, and prizes.
– 26–27 December: Local and visiting players compete in the annual Pattaya Pétanque Competition 2025 at Pattaya City School 2.
– 28 December: A ceremonial tribute on King Taksin the Great Day will be held at Pattaya City Hall.
– 29–31 December: The grand finale as Pattaya Countdown 2026 returns to Pattaya Central Beach with live concerts, fireworks, and a massive New Year’s Eve celebration.
These events represent just a fraction of what Pattaya has in store. Throughout December, the city will host dozens of additional activities organised in partnership with government agencies and private sectors, all designed to boost tourism, stimulate the local economy, and showcase why Pattaya remains one of Thailand’s premier year-round event destinations and why in 2026 the city is looking to further become South East Asia’s premier events city.
