Pattaya, November 27th, 2025 – A female thief disguised as a shopper stole a Samsung A22 mobile phone worth approximately 8,000 baht from a gift shop employee in South Pattaya on Tuesday night, police said.
The incident occurred at 23:36 on the 25th of November 2025 at a gift shop located in Soi Pattaya Tai 16 near Walking Street.

The victim, 30-year-old Ms Sutthiphon Sae-yang, reported the theft to Pol Lt Col Natthachakorn Sengiamwiboon, deputy investigation chief at Pattaya City Police Station. She handed over clear CCTV footage of the entire incident as evidence.
Ms Sutthiphon told police that while she was serving other customers, she did not notice the suspect enter the shop. It was only later that she realised her phone was missing. Upon reviewing the security camera footage, she saw a woman, described by her as appearing to be a foreign national with a tomboy-like appearance, pretending to browse items. The suspect then seized the opportunity to snatch the Samsung A22 from the counter before quickly walking out of the store.

After discovering the theft, Ms Sutthiphon immediately went to the police station to file a complaint.
Pol Lt Col Natthachakorn recorded the report and coordinated with the Pattaya investigation team to examine additional CCTV footage in the area in an effort to identify and locate the suspect. Officers say they will pursue legal action once the suspect is found.
A similar incident took place earlier this week at a Sri Racha market when a thief pretending to browse a mackeral vendor’s shop stole her phone when she was away.
