Pattaya Deputy Mayor Launches 2025 Youth Swimming Programme to Boost Health and Life-Saving Skills

Pattaya, November 27th, 2025 – Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr Krishna Boonsawat, presided over the opening ceremony of the “2025 Pattaya Youth Swimming Activity Project” today at 13:00 at the multi-purpose building of Pattaya City School 11 (Secondary Demonstration School Pattaya).

The ceremony was attended by Mr Banlue Kullavanij, President of the Pattaya City Council; Mr Phairawat Aromcheun, Vice President of the Council; members of the Pattaya City Council; the secretarial team of the Council President; heads of government departments; school administrators from schools under Pattaya City; and related officials.Organised by the Children and Youth Activities Division, Education Department of Pattaya City, the free swimming programme will run from 20 November 2025 to 27 February 2026, every training day from 13:00–15:00 at the swimming pool of Pattaya City School 11. The initiative is to encourage children and youth to engage in beneficial activities, enhance their sporting potential, and use recreational sports to improve physical health and fitness. Ultimately, the project seeks to instil good habits, positive behaviour, moral thinking, and the ability to live happily and productively in society—for the lasting benefits to both the younger generation and the nation.In his opening remarks, Deputy Mayor Krishna Boonsawat told the participating children and youth:“This activity is a very good sign. It is heartening to see the youth of Pattaya who are our nation’s most valuable future human resource being given the opportunity to develop their abilities through sport. Activities such as swimming not only promote health and physical fitness but also teach essential life-saving skills. Students will learn to swim safely, improve their techniques, and gain the confidence to help themselves if they ever face danger in the water.I urge every one of you to keep practising and never stop improving your skills.
