Pattaya, Chonburi – November 26th, 2025
A 21-year-old sales worker was seriously injured after falling from the back of a moving pickup truck while sitting on a mattress on Sukhumvit Road.
At approximately 5:06 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th, 2025, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center in Pattaya received a report of a person falling from a vehicle and sustaining injuries. The incident occurred on Sukhumvit Road near the Rop Po intersection, on the inbound lane toward Bangkok.

Rescue volunteers rushed to the scene, where they found the victim, identified only as “Mr. T,” aged 21, lying motionless in the middle of the road and breathing faintly. He is employed as a salesman at a market in Chonburi province.
Rescuers blocked traffic with their vehicles, provided first aid, and urgently transported the injured man to a hospital.

On the roadside, a mattress and wooden bed frame were found scattered. Further away, a black Mitsubishi Titan pickup truck was parked with its hazard lights on.
According to the victim’s employer, the group had just purchased second-hand bedding. Mr. T was asked to sit on top of the mattress in the truck bed to prevent it from blowing away during the journey. While driving, the employer noticed in the rear-view mirror that both the mattress and Mr. T had fallen onto the road.

Fortunately, no following vehicles struck the victim. Local residents quickly helped direct traffic, flagged down passing cars, and alerted emergency services, enabling prompt assistance.
Police are investigating the incident. Authorities reminded the public that carrying passengers in the open bed of pickup trucks, especially on unsecured loads, is extremely dangerous and violates traffic safety regulations.
