At 4:00 p.m. on November 19th, 2025, Pattaya City Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet personally handed over official zone-specific uniform shirts to Thai traditional beach massage operators in a ceremony held on the sands of central Pattaya Beach.
Joining the Mayor for the distribution were:
– Mr. Preecha Khakhai, Advisor to the Mayor
– Dr. Pitthaya Phirom-on, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor
– Mr. Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, Pattaya City Councillor
– Mr. Ekprabhu Ekasingh, Assistant Secretary to the President of Pattaya City Council
Staff from the Public Health and Environment Department, along with dozens of licensed massage operators from both Pattaya Beach and Wong Amat Beach, attended the event.

The new uniforms are part of ongoing efforts to standardize appearance, enhance professionalism, and improve service quality for one of Pattaya’s iconic tourism offerings. The distinctive shirts clearly identify authorised operators and help visitors distinguish legitimate beach massage services from unregulated ones.

Mayor Poramese stated that the initiative reflects the city’s commitment to supporting honest livelihoods while maintaining Pattaya’s reputation as a safe and well-organised beach destination.
The distribution ceremony took place against the backdrop of Pattaya’s central beach promenade, with operators expressing appreciation for the city’s continued support of their trade.

Not long ago, as we reported here, a similar ceremony took place for Jomtien Beach operators.
