PATTAYA, Thailand – November 21st, 2025 – Chonburi Immigration Police continued their crackdown on foreign nationals involved in illegal activities in Pattaya’s tourist areas with a raid on a luxury beachfront condominium in Jomtien, arresting a 46-year-old South Korean man found in possession of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”), gambling on an online website, and viewing pornographic material.
The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprod Sirisukha, Commander of Immigration Division 3; Pol. Col. Naphasphong Khosit-Suriyamanee, Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration; Pol. Lt. Col. Kawinwat Arayasuriwong, Deputy Superintendent; and Pol. Capt. Jarit Rao-Sathien, Chief of Chonburi Immigration Investigation Section.
Acting on intelligence from a concerned citizen that a South Korean national was hiring female entertainers and hosting drug parties, officers led by Pol. Capt. Ingkwat Kriansinkulyos, Pol. Capt. Phongcharoen Thongphaibun, and Pol. Lt. Pramot Fueangfung entered a high-end condominium unit in Jomtien Beach on the evening of November 20th.

Inside the room, officers found Mr. Kim Jin-jong, 46, seated in front of a laptop openly accessing an online gambling site while watching pornographic videos (Which is illegal in Thailand). After identifying themselves and placing him under arrest, police discovered four plastic bags containing a total of 4 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the room. All items were seized as evidence.
During questioning at Jomtien Immigration, Mr. Kim reportedly confessed that he purchased the ice from an unidentified friend for 4,000 baht solely for personal recreational use.
A background check revealed that Mr. Kim also illegally entered Thailand and had previously been blacklisted and barred from re-entering the country.

He now faces multiple charges, including illegal entry, possession of a Category 1 narcotic (crystal methamphetamine), and related offenses to possession of illegal gambling tools and pornography. He remains in custody pending transfer to investigators for formal prosecution.
The raid is part of an ongoing campaign by Chonburi Immigration Police to target transnational crime in Pattaya and restore confidence among international tourists visiting the resort city.
