Sri Racha, Chonburi – November 14th, 2025 – Police in the Sri Racha district successfully apprehended a notorious repeat offender known as “Ice Huai Yai Phrom” following a dramatic two-hour standoff at his home. The suspect, whose real name is Jettada Hongsakul, had been released from prison just four months earlier after serving time for similar gun-related crimes.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on November 13th, 2025, when a victim reported being threatened and assaulted with a firearm by Ice at a convenience store near Wat Rai Kluay in the Surasak subdistrict. Officers from Sri Racha Police Station obtained a search warrant for Ice’s residence in Moo 4 in the Bang Phra subdistrict.
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on November 14th, a team of nearly 20 investigators surrounded the house in the early morning hours. As police displayed the warrant and prepared to enter, the vigilant suspect locked his bedroom door and tossed an object resembling a gun out the window. He then fled the room wielding a utility knife (cutter).

Officers recovered the discarded item, identifying it as a black magazine-fed BB gun. Ice barricaded himself in a former tire shop area within the house, where he held the cutter to his throat to prevent arrest. He slashed his own head, causing significant bleeding, while swinging the blade erratically.
Negotiators, including police and the suspect’s respected grandmother, spent over two hours attempting to persuade him to surrender. Ice alternated between shouting, crying, and venting personal grievances. The breakthrough came when he momentarily lowered the knife from his neck, allowing officers to rush in, disarm him, and secure the scene. The cutter was thrown to a safe area, and Ice was restrained.

Rescue volunteers from Sawang Prateep provided first aid for his self-inflicted wounds before he was taken into custody.
A later search of Ice’s room uncovered dozens of psychiatric medication pills scattered on the floor, an additional BB gun, a short-barreled improvised shotgun in a bag, another unidentified firearm, and the cutter used in the standoff. All items were seized as evidence.
Ice, who has a history of mental health issues, gained infamy in May 2024 (May 4-5) for firing shots, threatening children and residents, evading police in a multi-day chase, and live-streaming his actions. He was captured mid-broadcast and convicted on charges including illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying a gun in public without permit, reckless discharge in populated areas, assault causing bodily or mental harm, and intimidation. He served approximately four months before release.

Despite his prior incarceration, Ice reportedly resumed carrying weapons in public, leading to the latest threats and injuries that prompted the victim’s complaint.
He is now in custody at Sri Racha Police Station for further interrogation and legal proceedings. Authorities continue to investigate his access to firearms and mental health treatment needs.
