(November 7, 2025) – Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, delegated Mr. Banlue Kullavanijaya, President of the Pattaya City Council, to deliver the welcome address on behalf of the host city. He was joined by Mr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy City Clerk, heads of government departments, and relevant officials. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chuwit Mitrchob, Deputy Director of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), at the Grande Centre Point Pattaya Hotel.
The Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Public Organization), or DASTA, organized the awareness-building event under the theme Thailand Creative Cities Network 2025 (TCCN 2025). The program wants to concretely raise awareness and understanding of the benefits of driving UNESCO Creative Cities in target cities across Thailand, while building networking opportunities and inter-agency teamwork to advance the UNESCO Creative Cities agenda nationwide.

Event highlights included:
– An interactive exhibition titled
**“Pattaya Rolls”** featuring QR Code Trails and Film City Visuals
– A special keynote lecture on **“Soft Power through Creative City: A Perfect Blend”**
– A screening of the short film **“Pattaya Rolls: The Best Film Location for Shooting”**
The event seeks to elevate Pattaya’s potential as a creative city, promote cross-sector work, and drive a cultural economy and tourism growth.
