Pattaya – November 7th, 2025 – A 17-year-old boy, identified only as “A,” was hospitalized with severe facial injuries and deformities after being lured via Facebook chat and ambushed by a group of youths in what his mother called a classic “honey trap” setup. The victim’s mother, Ms. Meow, 36, accompanied her son to file a formal complaint at the Dong Tan Substation under Pattaya City Police Station at 11:00 a.m. today. Doctors have scheduled reconstructive surgery at Chonburi Hospital.
“A” described to The Pattaya News meeting a girl who introduced herself as “Air,” aged approximately 15–16, on Facebook. They began chatting on Sunday, November 2nd. The following day, she asked him to pick her up in Pattaya. He drove her to his Sattahip home for a brief visit before dropping her off safely.

On the day of the attack, “Air” messaged him again, directing him to Soi Thepprasit 9. Upon arrival, he saw her waiting roadside—only to be struck on the head with a sickle handle by a male teenager. Four or five other youths then joined in the assault, kicking and punching him until bystanders intervened and alerted police.
“A” believes “Air” already had a boyfriend and set him up out of jealousy, despite her claiming to be single during their chats.

Ms. Meow urged the perpetrators, particularly “Air,” to surrender and apologize, saying she would consider leniency toward the girl “as one woman to another.” However, she insisted the assailants who beat her son would face the full force of the law.
Investigators have tasked Lt. Col. Arut Saphanon, Deputy Chief of Pattaya Detective Division, with leading a team to the crime scene, gather evidence, and track down “Air” and the gang for prosecution.
