Sriracha, Thailand – November 7th, 2025 – The Mayor of Sriracha Municipality, Mr. Chatchai Timkrachang, joined by municipal executives and council members, handed over uniforms to 50 elderly students enrolled in the second batch of the “Senior Wisdom School” (โรงเรียนสูงวัยวิทยา) during a ceremony held at the Sriracha Municipal Office at 1:30 p.m. today.
The uniforms will be used for learning and teaching activities, with the first semester of the program scheduled to commence on November 12th, 2025. All 50 participants in this batch are aged 60 and above.
The initiative is part of the “Energetic Seniors” project, a flagship policy under Mayor Chatchai’s local administration to transform Sriracha into a “Wellness City” focused on enhancing public health and well-being across all age groups, particularly the elderly.
The program aims to equip seniors with knowledge and skills to maintain physical strength, promote mental well-being, build positive attitudes toward self-care, and enable them to live meaningfully in society. It also encourages the formation of strong senior groups, allowing participants to share acquired knowledge with others in their communities.
