Somdech Phra Borommaratchathewi Hospital at Sriracha Holds Ceremony to Honor Her Royal Majesty Queen Mother Sirikit

Sriracha, Thailand– Somdech Phra Borommaratchathewi Hospital at Sriracha held a solemn ceremony to pay tribute to the boundless royal grace of Her Royal Majesty Queen Mother Sirikit, Patron of the Thai Red Cross Society.

The event took place in the main hall on the second floor of the Sri Sawarindira Memorial Building commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Thai Red Cross. Associate Professor Dr. Sophon Napathorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society and Director of Somdech Phra Borommaratchathewi Hospital at Sriracha, presided over the ceremony.

Dr. Napathorn led the lighting of candles and incense on a small gold tray before the royal portrait of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, Patron of the Thai Red Cross Society. Hospital administrators and staff stood in respectful tribute.

In his address, the presiding chair expressed profound gratitude for Her Royal Majesty’s immeasurable kindness, devotion, and lifelong dedication to the well-being of the Thai people—especially in her role as Patron of the Thai Red Cross Society. He described Her Royal Majesty as a supreme inspiration to all Red Cross personnel.

“This occasion unites us in heartfelt remembrance of Her Royal Majesty’s royal benevolence and in renewed loyalty to the throne,” Dr. Napathorn said.

The ceremony concluded with participants joining in the royal anthem, followed by 93 seconds of silent tribute. Hospital leaders and executives then signed a book of condolence in order of seniority.
