Pattaya City Partners with Basketball Club to Launch 2025 Pattaya Open Basketball Tournament with Over 300,000 Baht in Prizes

Pattaya, Thailand – At 6:00 PM on November 6th, 2025, a press conference was held on the G floor of Terminal 21 Pattaya shopping mall, where Mr. Krisana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, joined Mr. Sornpet Supabworasatean, President of the Pattaya Basketball Club, Ms. Mallika Sudsaneh, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya Office, and Ms. Hathairat Phoket, Director of Terminal 21 Pattaya, to announce the upcoming Pattaya Open Basketball Tournament 2025. The event was attended by Pattaya City Council members, relevant officials, distinguished guests, sponsors, and athlete representatives.

Organized by Pattaya City together with the Pattaya Basketball Club, the tournament wants to promote beneficial use of leisure time through sports among youth and the general public. It seeks to provide continuous competition experience for local basketball players at all levels, inspire participants and spectators by showcasing top Thai athletes, foster unity and sportsmanship, encourage physical fitness for better health, elevate event standards to international levels, and boost Pattaya’s reputation as a Sports City with a focus on sports tourism. Winners will receive honorary trophies from Pattaya City, along with total cash prizes exceeding 300,000 baht.

The competition is divided into two main categories:

1. 5-on-5 Basketball (two divisions):
– General Public Men’s Division
– Youth Men’s Division (ages 18 and under)
– Dates: November 17–23, 2025
– Venue: Pattaya City School 11 (Pattaya Secondary Demonstration School)

2. 3×3 Street Basketball (six divisions):
– Global MEN
– Citizen MEN
– Youngster 18 BOYS
– Youngster 16 BOYS
– Youngster 14 MIX
– Youngster 12 MIX
– Dates: November 28–30, 2025
– Venue: Terminal 21 Pattaya open area

This year’s event features special highlights, including an exhibition by the ALLSTAR CLUB celebrity basketball team, a mini-concert by leading Thai rock band ZEAL, and giant dinosaur appearances from Pattaya Dinosaur Park to add excitement. Don’t miss it!
