Nongprue, Chonburi – November 6th, 2025– Local leaders and a teenage national futsal prodigy joined forces this morning to cheer on 43 young athletes from Nong Prue Municipality Kindergarten as they departed for the 40th Local Government Youth Sports Competition, dubbed the “Taksin Rayong Games,” in Rayong province.
The send-off ceremony took place at 9:00 a.m. inside the school grounds. Nong Prue Mayor Winai Inthapitak, Banglamung District Councilor Anurak Inthapitak, and school director Kittisak Sirilert personally encouraged the boys’ futsal teams (ages 12 and 14) and the girls’ under-12 squad before their 10-day competition running November 6–15.

Nong Prue has consistently qualified its futsal teams for the national finals—scheduled for January in Sisaket province—making the sport a perennial source of pride for the municipality. The school is also fielding competitors in multiple other events at the Rayong Games.
Mayor Winai delivered a brief motivational speech and handed over a cash donation to cover expenses during the trip. “Bring home the experience, the teamwork, and—if possible—the trophies,” he told the players. “You represent all of Nong Prue.”

Among the well-wishers was a 16-year-old national youth futsal player who shared tips on indoor strategy and resilience. The athletes boarded buses shortly after, waving to teachers and parents as they set off for Rayong.
