Pattaya, Thailand – November 1st, 2025– A 25-year-old man suffered a broken left leg and serious injuries after his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a parked pickup truck during heavy rain on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Highway 331, inbound to Sattahip, just before the U-turn point near Pattaya Country Club Golf Course in Moo 2.

Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a motorcycle colliding with the rear of a pickup truck, leaving one person injured.

At the site, officers found a blue Mazda Fighter pickup truck parked on the roadside. The vehicle’s rear showed significant damage from the impact. The driver, 41-year-old Prakong Boonchom, told authorities he had pulled over to retrieve items from the truck bed amid the downpour.

A short distance away, a red Honda MSX motorcycle with no license plate lay overturned in the middle of the road. Nearby was the injured rider, identified as 25-year-old Jakkraphat Seeangrat. He had a deformed upper left leg, consistent with a fracture, and a deep laceration above his right eyebrow. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before urgently transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Prakong told The Pattaya News that while loading items at the back of his truck, he heard a loud crash. Turning around, he saw the motorcycle rider had struck the rear of his vehicle at full force. He speculated that the rider likely failed to spot the parked truck due to poor visibility caused by the heavy rain.

Police from Huay Yai Police Station documented the scene with photographs and evidence collection. Officers plan to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause before proceeding with legal actions as required.
