Pattaya, Thailand – November 1st, 2025 – A heated argument over mosquito repellent escalated into violence early Saturday morning when a Filipino transgender woman allegedly stabbed her Ukrainian boyfriend with scissors inside a condominium in Pattaya, leaving him injured.

The incident was reported at 7:36 a.m. today to the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center in Pattaya. Emergency responders were alerted to an assault involving a sharp weapon on a tourist at a condo along Pattaya Third Road. Rescue volunteers coordinated with Pattaya City Police and rushed to the scene.

At the location, rescuers found the victim, identified as Mr. Maksym, a 38-year-old Ukrainian national, suffering from a stab wound to his left ribcage inflicted by a sharp object. First aid was administered on-site before he was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Police patrol units later apprehended the suspect inside Room 204 on the second floor of the same condominium. The individual was named as Mrs. Pulido, a 40-year-old Filipino national who identifies as a transgender woman. She was in a state of shock, crying, and confessed to stabbing her boyfriend.

A Thai transgender witness provided details to investigators, stating that the couple had been arguing prior to the incident. The Ukrainian man reportedly became upset and sprayed mosquito repellent at his partner, leading to a physical altercation. In a fit of rage, the Filipino suspect grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the ribcage. The victim then fled the room and sought help from locals downstairs.

A good Samaritan, Mr. Natthaphong Kaen Akas, 28, added that the injured man ran to his shop in a panicked state, collapsing and pleading to be taken to the hospital. Upon inspection, Mr. Natthaphong discovered a large amount of blood flowing from a wound on the victim’s back and immediately alerted police and rescue teams.

Authorities have prioritized the victim’s medical care. Once he is stable and wishes to file a formal complaint, he has been advised to visit investigators at Pattaya City Police Station. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
