Pattaya, Thailand– A 25-year-old woman was seriously injured after falling from the fifth floor of an under construction commercial building in South Pattaya late Wednesday night, following a heated argument with her girlfriend over jealousy issues.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:06 p.m. on October 30th, 2025, at a shophouse along Pattaya South Road. The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Center in Pattaya received a report of a person falling from a height and dispatched volunteer rescuers to the scene immediately.
Upon arrival, rescuers found the victim, identified only as “Jiab” (pseudonym), aged 25, lying injured behind the building after plummeting from the fifth floor. Emergency personnel provided first aid on-site before rushing her to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
According to “Miao” (pseudonym), aged 29, the victim’s girlfriend who spoke with authorities at the scene, the couple had been arguing earlier that evening. Miao explained that Jiab became upset and jealous, leading to a verbal dispute. After the argument, Jiab asked to sit alone on the balcony. Shortly afterward, Miao heard sounds suggesting Jiab was climbing over the railing and hanging from the edge. Despite Miao’s attempts to pull her back, Jiab lost her grip and fell, sustaining injuries. Miao immediately alerted rescue services for assistance.
Police and rescue officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fall, which appears to stem from a domestic dispute. No further details on the victim’s condition have been released. It was unclear why they were in the under construction building.
