Chonburi, Thailand – Security footage from an apartment complex in Phan Thong district has captured a man boldly stealing women’s underwear hung out to dry, marking the third incident at the same location. Police say they have identified the suspect and expect an arrest soon.

The latest theft occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on October 29th. CCTV cameras installed outside the rental room showed the perpetrator, a male, casually walking along the road before approaching the unit. He quickly snatched the underwear from a drying rack in front of the door and fled the scene on foot.

The victim, 31-year-old Ms. Nungreuthai Khlangkasem, who owns the rental room, reported the incident to police shortly after discovering the theft. She filed a complaint with Pol. Lt. Col. Samart Boonrit, the investigating officer at Phanat Nikhom Police Station, urging authorities to track down and prosecute the culprit.

Speaking to reporters, Ms. Nungreuthai expressed her fear and frustration, noting that this was the third time the thief had targeted her property. “The perpetrator has struck three times already,” she said. “This third incident only came to light because we installed CCTV cameras, which clearly captured the suspect in the act. I’m scared and want the public to stay vigilant and help keep an eye out. I hope the police can apprehend him quickly.”

According to Ms. Nungreuthai, officers have preliminarily identified the suspect based on the footage and other evidence. Authorities believe an arrest is imminent.

Local residents have been advised to remain cautious, especially during late-night hours, as police continue their investigation into the series of thefts.
