Pattaya, Thailand – October 29, 2025 – The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya organized a charity event to distribute rice to underprivileged residents and those in need across the city. Held at the foundation’s premises, the initiative provided 600 bags of rice—each containing 5 kilograms—ahead of the final day of the annual Vegetarian Festival on October 30.
Crowds of local residents began lining up to receive the donations as early as 12:00 p.m.

The rice and other items distributed were sourced from public donations and contributions by the foundation’s committee members. All goods underwent traditional blessing rituals before being handed out to the public.
The event also saw additional generosity from benevolent donors. Among them, 74-year-old Mui Hua Tan, owner of a garden landscaping business, contributed 10,000 baht in cash to honor her ancestors. The “Thapthim” family provided vegan ice cream for free distribution, along with school supplies for children.

This year’s Vegetarian Festival rice distribution totaled 2,500 bags, allocated across multiple locations: 600 bags at the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, 300 bags at the fishing pier area, 300 bags in Chak Ngaew, 300 bags on Koh Larn, and the remainder to Pattaya City Hall staff in various departments.
