Finnish Sisters Report 2,000 USD Theft from Pattaya Vacation Home

Pattaya, October 29, 2025– Two Finnish tourists filed a police report early Wednesday after discovering $2,000 USD in foreign currency missing from their rented house in Jomtien, bringing an immediate investigation by local authorities.

Miss Sini Susanna Anttila, accompanied by her sister, arrived at the Dongtan Curve substation of Pattaya City Police Station at 1:06 a.m. to lodge the complaint with Duty Investigation Officer Pol. Lt. Anan Mahakij-asawakul.

The sisters told police they had left their family rental in Soi Jomtien 7 to dine out. Upon returning, they found the cash—equivalent to approximately 60,000 plus baht—gone. No one in the household claimed knowledge of the theft, and there were no signs of forced entry, leaving the method of intrusion unclear.

Officers recorded the incident in the daily log and dispatched a detective team to the scene for evidence collection, including a search for CCTV footage and witness statements.

Pattaya police confirmed the case is under active investigation, with efforts focused on identifying and apprehending the suspect.
