Three Young Siblings Injured in Pattaya Vehicle Collision Caused by Sudden Turn

Pattaya, Chonburi – A pickup truck’s sudden turn without signaling led to a violent collision with a motorbike, injuring three siblings, including two children, in Pattaya early on October 22nd, 2025. The incident occurred at 1:00 AM at a detour near the Central Pattaya intersection.

The Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Rescue Center received a report of a motorbike crashing into the rear of a pickup truck, resulting in three injuries. Rescue teams and police then arrived at the scene. The injured were identified as Wutthichai Upakruth, 19, and two young children, all siblings. Nearby, authorities found a heavily damaged white Honda PCX motorbike, and a bronze Toyota Revo pickup truck with visible damage to its left rear from the collision. The pickup driver was Somtrong Romphruek, 41.

Witness Julasak Boonrom, 34, told The Pattaya News that the pickup was traveling straight when it suddenly veered into the detour without using its turn signal. The motorbike, closely following, was unable to stop in time and crashed heavily into the truck’s rear.

Somtrong, the pickup driver, explained that he was driving from Bang Saray to pick up a relative arriving from Chachoengsao. Unfamiliar with Pattaya’s roads and relying on GPS, he made a sudden turn without noticing the motorbike behind him. He only realized the collision after hearing a loud impact at the rear of his vehicle and stopped to check.

Police photographed the scene and impounded both vehicles for further inspection. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine the exact cause of the accident and will proceed with legal action against those responsible. The injured were taken for medical treatment, and the investigation remains ongoing as of press time.
