PATTAYA, Thailand – On October 21st, 2025, a joint operation led by Banglamung District authorities and local police resulted in the arrest of a drug dealer in Pattaya, identified as Mr. Waiyawut Srisuwan, alias “Tua.” The operation, directed by Chonburi Governor Mr. Naris Niramaiwong and executed under the supervision of Banglamung District Chief Mr. Patcharapat Sritanyanon, followed a tip-off received via the “Banglamung Broken Down” Line application, reporting illegal drug trafficking in the Pattaya area.

Acting on the complaint, authorities conducted an investigation and identified Mr. Waiyawut as a key figure distributing drugs to small-scale buyers in Banglamung and nearby areas. Undercover officers were deployed to monitor his activities and arrange a sting operation. On the day of the arrest, Mr. Waiyawut was apprehended while delivering drugs in a sedan at a hotel in Soi Buakhao, Pattaya. A search revealed a 9mm firearm with ammunition tucked into his waistband and a stash of crystal methamphetamine (ice) hidden in a bag inside the vehicle.

Further investigation led authorities to search Mr. Waiyawut’s residence on the 19th floor of a Jomtien condominium, where they uncovered additional drugs concealed in black bags under a kitchen sink. The total haul included 2,995 methamphetamine pills, 53.78 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1.41 grams of ketamine, drug paraphernalia, a weighing scale, and several ziplock bags.

During questioning, Mr. Waiyawut confessed that the drugs belonged to him, admitting to selling methamphetamine pills for approximately 10 baht each and crystal methamphetamine for around 2,000 baht per 5 grams to small-scale buyers. He claimed the firearm was purchased from a friend for self-defense.

Mr. Waiyawut was handed over to Pattaya City Police Station, facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine, crystal methamphetamine, and ketamine) with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and dismantle any associated drug networks, aligning with Chonburi Province’s “Safe Chonburi, Free from Drugs and Vice” policy.
