Sriracha, Thailand – On October 21st, 2025, Somdej Phra Boromarajadevi Hospital in Sriracha hosted a ceremony to commemorate National Nurses’ Day and to present badges to newly promoted nursing administrators. The event took place in the Leelawadee 1 Meeting Room on the 5th floor of the hospital’s 100th Anniversary Building.
The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Sophon Napathorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society and Director of Somdej Phra Boromarajadevi Hospital. Dr. Sophon opened the event by offering a ceremonial flower arrangement and paying tribute before a portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra. Nurse Nukul Anantasap, Assistant Chief Nurse, delivered a speech in honor of the occasion.

During the ceremony, Dr. Sophon congratulated 11 nursing professionals who were promoted to administrative roles. He presented them with nursing administration badges and commemorative gifts, recognizing their expertise, dedication, and contributions to the organization.

National Nurses’ Day, observed annually on October 21st, coincides with the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, who dedicated her life to advancing nursing education and improving public health in Thailand. The day also marks National Dental Public Health Day and National Social Welfare Day. The hospital’s nursing department organized the event to honor the Princess Mother’s legacy of compassion and commitment to providing equitable healthcare, particularly for the underprivileged, ensuring better health outcomes for all Thais.
