PATTAYA, Thailand — A fatal motorcycle accident claimed the lives of an American man and his Thai girlfriend today, October 20th, 2025, at 7:16 AM, along a notorious curve on Jomtien Second/Thappraya Road in Pattaya. The Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a distress call reporting that a large motorcycle had lost control, veered off the road, and overturned, leaving two people critically injured.
Upon arrival, rescue teams and Pattaya City Police found the lifeless body of a 40-year-old American man (Name withheld awaiting embassy and relative contact in the US), lying face-down with severe chest wounds. Nearby, Ms. Ketsarin Linjee, 31, was found critically injured, struggling to breathe. Despite efforts by rescue workers to perform CPR, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after. Bystanders assisted in directing traffic to slow down and avoid the accident site, as the sharp curve posed a risk for further collisions.
Approximately 20 meters from the scene, a white Yamaha R7 700cc motorcycle, registered in Chonburi, was found overturned after crashing into the median and skidding across the road.

A witness who discovered the scene while passing by reported seeing the victims and the wrecked motorcycle on the road. The witness immediately alerted rescue services but did not witness the crash itself. The witness speculated that the motorcycle rider likely lost control on the curve, a stretch of road infamous for frequent accidents.
Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyoo, superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, ordered an investigation into the incident. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to determine the exact cause of the tragedy. The bodies of the deceased were transported to Pattaya Hospital, where they await collection by relatives for religious rites.
