Pattaya to Host AGTC Asia Golf Tourism Convention in 2026

PATTAYA, Thailand – On October 17th, 2025, at 1:00 PM, Pattaya City Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet chaired a meeting to discuss preparations for the AGTC Asia Golf Tourism Convention 2026. The meeting, held at Meeting Room 132 of Pattaya City Hall, was attended by the Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, relevant city officials, and a delegation led by Mr. Rattanachai Sutthidechanai, Central and Eastern Region Representative of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

The AGTC Asia Golf Tourism Convention 2026, scheduled for March 23-25, 2026, in Pattaya, is a team effort between the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), TCEB, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Recognized as the largest golf tourism trade show and business networking event in the Asia-Pacific, the convention is expected to attract over 450 participants from more than 40 countries, including 180 international golf tour operators offering travel packages to Thailand. The event is poised to generate lots of revenue for the country.

The organizing committee has invited Pattaya City to co-host the event and provide support in various areas, including bilingual (Thai and English) reception staff to assist attendees, an information desk to address inquiries, airport shuttle services, Thai boxing performances, and hospitality arrangements for participants.

Mayor Poramese expressed enthusiasm for the event, discussing its potential to attract high-quality golf tourists and promote Pattaya’s world-class golf courses and diverse tourism offerings. “This convention will showcase Pattaya’s readiness to welcome global golf professionals and tourists,” he said. He affirmed the city’s commitment to co-hosting the event and providing support within its authority. The mayor instructed the organizers to coordinate with TCEB and TAT, the primary organizers, to align on details and ensure compliance with Pattaya’s regulations for funding foreign hospitality.

The AGTC Asia Golf Tourism Convention 2026 is set to position Pattaya as a premier sports tourism destination.
