Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2025 Sees Hotel Bookings Soar to 99 Percent on Pattaya Beach, Tourists Urged to Use Public Transport

PATTAYA, Thailand – The Pattaya-Chonburi Business and Tourism Association has reported an unprecedented surge in hotel bookings ahead of the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival, scheduled for November 28-29, 2025. Ms. Chutima Jiramongkol, president of the association, revealed that hotels along Pattaya Beach are nearly fully booked, with occupancy rates reaching 99%, leaving only emergency reserve rooms available.

The festival, a major highlight on Thailand’s tourism calendar, is drawing crowds from Thailand, South Korea, and other countries. South Korean tourists, in particular, are flocking to the event, spurred by the festival’s international acclaim for its spectacular displays and exceptional organization. “The Pattaya Fireworks Festival has gained global recognition, especially after receiving accolades from South Korea for its outstanding management and performances,” Ms. Chutima said.

While beachfront hotels are fully occupied, some accommodations in nearby areas, such as Pattaya Third Road and Jomtien Beach, still have limited availability. The festival is a key driver of Pattaya’s economy, reinforcing the city’s status as one of Thailand’s top tourism destinations and generally considered the biggest event of the year in terms of crowds.

To ensure safety and convenience, Pattaya authorities will close Beach Road entirely to traffic during the event, impacting nearby routes like Pattaya Second and Third Roads. This is expected to cause intense traffic congestion, causing officials to urge visitors to use public transportation provided by the city instead of private vehicles.

Last year, the festival attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors across two days, packing the 2.7-kilometer stretch of Pattaya Beach and generating substantial revenue for local businesses, restaurants, and accommodations.

Ms. Chutima also advised tourists to plan ahead, warning of potential mobile network disruptions during the crowded event. “With large crowds, phone signals and internet may be unreliable, affecting mobile payments. We recommend bringing cash to avoid delays,” she added.

The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival continues to dazzle, promising another unforgettable celebration of light.
