National Police Headquarters Hosts 2025 Police Day Ceremony, Awards Outstanding Officers Nationwide, Chonburi Provincial Police Win Three Major Honors

Bangkok, October 16th, 2025— Police General Kittirat Phanthep, Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police (RTP), presided over the annual Police Day ceremonies for 2025 at RTP headquarters today. Accompanied by his wife, Kanokwan Phanthep, President of the Police Wives Association, the event drew senior RTP officials, including deputy commissioners, the Inspector General of Police, assistants to the commissioner, and members of the association.

The two-day observance, running October 16-17, kicked off with traditional rituals to honor sacred sites and historical figures. At 10:00 a.m., ceremonies included paying homage to deities within the RTP compound, offering respects at the statue of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX), laying floral wreaths at the monument of His Royal Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV), venerating a bust of Police General Phao Siyanon, and performing merit-making rites with alms offerings and Buddhist chanting.

Following the rituals, Police General Kittirat presented plaques of appreciation to 128 recipients, recognizing supporters of RTP operations, officers exemplifying ethical conduct under the police code, standout units in various categories, and exemplary civilians aiding law enforcement.

Chonburi Provincial Police earned particular acclaim, securing three prestigious awards. Pol. Col. Patikorn Sorachai, Deputy Commander tasked with driving operational initiatives, accepted the honors on behalf of the force at the Phao Siyanon Room in Building 1.

The awards highlight Chonburi’s excellence in public safety and enforcement:

1. A plaque for the province’s 191 Emergency Reporting Center, evaluated as outstanding under the 2025 national assessment program for top emergency response units.

2. A plaque recognizing Chonburi Provincial Police as the second-ranked provincial command in preventing and suppressing reckless driving, illegal street racing, and behaviors endangering public safety for 2025.

3. A certificate of honor for the same achievement in reckless driving and street racing suppression, affirming second place among provincial commands.

Congratulations!
