PATTAYA, Thailand – October 13th, 2025 – A kind-hearted employee of a Pattaya go-go bar has earned praise for her honesty after turning in a lost wallet containing valuables worth over 200,000 baht to local police, hoping to reunite it with its owner and boost the city’s reputation as a safe tourist destination.
At 8:06 AM, Ms. Chomnat Sing-od, a 42-year-old staff member at Queen A-Go-Go in Pattaya, visited Pattaya City Police Station to report the discovery of a black shoulder bag. She met with Deputy Inspector Akkarapong Saenputtawong to file a report, handing over the bag, which contained 9,700 Australian dollars (approximately 200,000 baht), credit cards, and a passport belonging to a 48-year-old Australian national. Ms. Chomnat expressed her intent to ensure the items were returned to their rightful owner.

Ms. Chomnat explained to authorities that she found the bag on the ground outside the bar after returning from a meal with colleagues. Initially assuming it belonged to a co-worker, she was surprised to discover its valuable contents, including foreign currency, credit cards, and a passport. To ensure transparency, she recorded a video of the items before notifying the police. “This money doesn’t belong to me,” she said. “I thought about my reputation, the reputation of my bar, and Pattaya’s image as a tourist city. Handing it over to the police to find the owner was the right thing to do. I want tourists to feel safe visiting Pattaya and our bar.”

CCTV footage from the bar captured images of the bag’s presumed owner, described as a tall foreign man wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, black shorts, with a tattoo on his left leg. He was seen carrying the bag in his right hand and a pair of shoes in his left, appearing tired while briefly resting outside the bar. He left the area, unknowingly leaving the bag behind.

Pattaya police are now working to locate the tourist to return his belongings. Ms. Chomnat’s actions have been commended as a positive example of integrity, reinforcing Pattaya’s commitment to ensuring the safety and trust of its visitors.
