CHONBURI, Thailand – A massive fire broke out at a plastic bubble wrap manufacturing factory in the Bang Phra subdistrict of the Sri Racha district on October 13th, 2025, at approximately 12:30 PM. The blaze, which erupted at a warehouse belonging to Procare Packaging Co., Ltd., located in Village 8, spread rapidly, producing thick plumes of smoke visible from dozens of kilometers away.
Firefighters from nearby municipalities rushed to the scene, battling the intense flames amidst continuous rainfall. The factory, which produces plastic bubble wrap, had two 8-liter LPG tanks positioned near the fire, raising concerns about a potential explosion. Fire crews worked urgently to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching the tanks, successfully averting further escalation.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been triggered by a lightning strike causing an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, the incident occurred on a public holiday when no employees were present, and no injuries have been reported.

The factory complex consists of two buildings: a main production facility and a storage warehouse containing large quantities of plastic foam and other flammable materials, which fueled the fire’s rapid spread. The intense heat caused the warehouse roof to collapse, complicating firefighting efforts. Authorities are working to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further, with updates to follow as the situation develops.
