Tesla Driver Crashes into Power Pole, Damages Nearby Car and Shop in Eastern Pattaya

Pattaya, Thailand – At approximately 3:30 AM on October 12th, 2025, a white Tesla sedan driver crashed into a power pole, snapping it in half, and causing major damage to a nearby parked car and a roadside hamburger shop. The incident occurred in Soi Siam Country Club. Officers from Nongprue Police Station, along with volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation in Pattaya, rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.

At the site, authorities found the Tesla with its front end severely damaged. Nearby, a bronze-gray Honda Civic had sustained rear-end damage while parked along the road. The force of the collision caused the Tesla to strike a power pole, breaking it in half, before spinning and crashing into a hamburger shop. The shop’s signage, tables, chairs, and other items were heavily damaged.

Witnesses reported that the driver, a Thai man estimated to be 30-35 years old, appeared mostly uninjured but was taken to a local hospital for an inspection shortly after the crash.

Mrs. Orawan Silpachai, 45, the owner of the hamburger shop, explained the incident to The Pattaya News “I heard a loud crash and rushed outside to see a white sedan that had smashed into the power pole, breaking it in half. It also hit the parked car and my shop, causing extensive damage.”

When reporters inquired about the driver’s identity and whether alcohol tests were conducted, police stated only that the driver was injured and had been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Further details were withheld pending investigation.

Authorities documented the scene as evidence and coordinated with the local electricity authority to repair the broken power pole for public safety. The extent of property damage and the exact cause of the accident are under ongoing investigation.
