PATTAYA, Thailand, October 11th, 2025
A night of friendship at a local drinking spot spiraled into violence early Saturday when two longtime friends clashed over boasts about their work skills, resulting in one man being struck with a broken beer bottle, according to Pattaya authorities.
The incident took place around 10:06 p.m. at a commercial building along the railway road in Khao Talo. Pattaya’s Sawang Boriboon rescue radio center received a report of a brawl involving injuries and dispatched a team of volunteer rescuers to the scene.
Upon arrival, responders found 38-year-old Supharak Klean Raksa bleeding from a deep wound on his forehead and a gash across his face. The victim, who appeared heavily intoxicated, was given immediate first aid before being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Shards of shattered glass littered the floor at the site, evidence of the escalating altercation.

The alleged suspect, 33-year-old Adisong Phol Yang Nok, also visibly drunk, remained at the scene cooperating with investigating police. Both men are reported to be close friends who frequent the area for drinks.
In a statement to officers, Adisong explained how the evening began innocently enough. “We were best mates, knocking back several beers and chatting away,” he said. “But as the alcohol kicked in, we started arguing about our jobs—who was better at what. It got heated, and he stood up and started punching me. I couldn’t fight back properly, so I grabbed a beer bottle and swung it at him, hitting his head. When I saw him hurt like that, I stopped right away and called for help.”
Police are investigating the matter as a case of assault, with no arrests made as of Saturday morning. Supharak is listed in stable condition as of press time.
