Little Reed’ Prepares for 2025 Taksin Rayong Games with Frugal Spirit and Fierce Determination
Nongprue Municipal Kindergarten School’s futsal prodigy, 14-year-old Rawi Homchuen, fondly known as “Little Reed,” is gearing up for the 2025 Taksin Rayong Games, a prestigious national student futsal competition. The event, set for November 6th-15th, 2025, will see top school teams from across Thailand vie for glory, and Rawi’s team is ready to make their mark.

In preparation, Rawi and her squad are competing in the Terminal21 Korat Futsal FA Cup 2025, a major youth tournament held from October 9th-13th, 2025. Recognized by the school futsal community, this event serves as a critical testing ground for Rawi, who will compete in the women’s 15-18 age category despite being younger than most competitors. This tournament is her final chance to hone her skills before the Taksin Rayong Games.
Beyond her athletic prowess, Rawi is admired for her frugal and grounded lifestyle. Raised with values of simplicity and sufficiency, she opts for cost-effective choices and avoids extravagance. During training camps, she sticks to simple boxed meals prepared by the team’s cook for breakfast and returns home for dinner before resuming practice. Her disciplined approach reflects the modest upbringing instilled by her family.

The Taksin Rayong Games, organized by the government, is a big platform for young athletes. Rawi and her team from Nongprue Municipal Kindergarten School will travel to the event on November 5th, 2025. A strong performance could bring pride and recognition to Chonburi Province.
With her talent and humble spirit, “Little Reed” is poised to shine on the national stage.
