On Friday, October 10th, 2025, a heartfelt volunteer event took place at the Luang Pu Thuad Lanka Bodhi Plaza. The event, titled “Volunteer Development for Thailand’s Significant Day,” was presided over by Mr. Phongthasit Pijanant, Deputy Governor of Chonburi.
The goal was to express loyalty and commemorate the boundless compassion of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, on the occasion of Navamindra Maharaj Day, marking the anniversary of his passing. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Mr. Pratrawin Wijab, Phanthong District Chief, along with government officials, local administrative organizations, village headmen, students, and volunteers.

Mr. Phongthasit discussed the significance of the day, reflecting on His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol’s reign, during which he tirelessly dedicated himself to countless royal initiatives for the nation’s progress and the well-being of the Thai people. His legacy, widely revered both in Thailand and internationally, continues to inspire profound gratitude among Thais, even years after his passing on October 13, 2016. This day serves as an opportunity for all Thais to collectively honor and remember his immeasurable contributions.

Inspired by His Royal Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s Royal Volunteer Project, which promotes unity and selfless service for the public good, Chonburi Province worked with government agencies, private sectors, and local communities to organize this volunteer event. Activities included tree planting and landscaping improvements around the Luang Pu Thuad Lanka Bodhi Plaza at Laem Khae Temple. These efforts are to benefit the community and the nation, carrying forward the spirit of unity and service in honor of His Royal King Bhumibol’s enduring legacy.
