Chonburi Authorities Crack Down on Illegal Foreign Workers at Construction Site

Chonburi, Thailand – On October 7th, 2025, Chonburi’s Employment Office, together with provincial labor and security agencies, conducted a targeted inspection at a factory construction site in the Nong Hiang Subdistrict of the Phanat Nikhom District, following complaints about illegal foreign workers.

Led by Mr. Phuwakorn Tosingkhon, Chonburi’s Employment Officer, and Mr. Chaleampol Niamsakul, Provincial Labor Chief, alongside the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) of Chonburi, authorities uncovered nine foreign nationals working illegally. The group comprised seven Chinese and two Myanmar nationals, all of whom were detained for working without valid permits, violating Section 8 and punishable under Section 101 of the Foreigners’ Working Management Emergency Decree B.E. 2560 (2017) and its amendments.

The detained workers were handed over to Phanat Nikhom Police Station for prosecution. Additionally, authorities have filed charges against the employer, who will be summoned to face legal action.
