CHONBURI, Thailand – On October 3rd, 2025, Mr. Sawet Charoenklang, Secretary to the Mayor of Takian Tia Subdistrict, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Velu Games” an internal sports competition for the 2025 academic year at Wat Veluwanaram School’s sports field in Takhian Tia. The event was attended by members of the Takhian Tia Subdistrict Municipal Council, the education committee, teachers, parents, and students.
Ms. Mutita Inklum, the school’s director, stated that the sports competition aims to build holistic development in students, enhancing their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth while promoting essential skills. The event provides students with opportunities to showcase their athletic abilities, cultivate sportsmanship, and build teamwork and unity. It is designed to boost students’ confidence, encourage self-expression, and support their overall physical, mental, and social development.
The competition divided students into two teams—Blue and Yellow—and featured sports such as futsal, volleyball, sepak takraw, petanque, baby tong, and traditional Thai games. The event took place over two days, from October 2nd to 3rd, 2025.
