PATTAYA, Thailand – A viral video clip circulating on social media has captured a shocking street brawl involving a group of young men outside a lively morlam (Traditional northeastern Thai music) concert venue in Pattaya, sparking widespread online debate and concerns over public safety near residential areas.

The incident, which took place on October 3rd, 2025, unfolded in Soi Khao Talo. According to the video poster and numerous commenters, the altercation broke out amid the festive atmosphere of a local morlam event—a traditional Isan folk music and dance performance known for its energetic rhythms and large crowds.

Footage shows a man wearing a black shirt and shorts being ambushed by three youths, estimated to be aged 20 to 25, who pin him down by the neck before unleashing a relentless barrage of punches. Onlookers, including local residents, can be heard shouting warnings and pleas to stop the attack, but the assailants ignored them, continuing to strike until blood splattered from the victim’s face. Moments later, a fourth young man leapt into the fray to defend the injured party, trading blows with the trio and forcing them to retreat when outnumbered. The clip, set against the blaring backdrop of morlam music, drowns out any audible conversation, leaving the exact words exchanged unclear.

Journalists attempting to contact the suspects or the victim for comment have been unsuccessful, and the precise cause of the dispute remains unknown. Speculation in online comments ranges from personal grudges to alcohol-fueled misunderstandings, though no official details have emerged.

The video has ignited a firestorm of reactions on social platforms, with many users condemning the violence as “barbaric” and calling for stricter crowd control at such events. Others have shifted focus to the concert itself, decrying the event’s thunderous noise as a major disturbance to nearby residents struggling to sleep. One commenter noted, “The music is so loud it shakes the walls—we can’t rest, and now this chaos on top of it.” Complaints are amplified by the venue’s proximity to a hospital, less than 500 meters away, raising alarms about potential risks to public health and emergency services.

Local authorities in Pattaya have not yet issued a statement on the brawl as of press time.
